Digital Innovation Facility

The DIF’s surroundings are truly stunning, giving a mix of heritage and cutting edge innovation before even entering the building. We wanted the branding to reflect the space and it’s surroundings, as well as echo the groundwork VEC has already accomplished. To develop brand assets, we took inspiration from the arches that neighbour the DIF building and simplified it by using the arch of the ‘D’ from ‘DIF’.

There’s a language throughout the site, which holds information neatly, making it more digestible for the user. We colour coded areas of the website to make the navigation and user journey effortless.

We presented Studio Coat with a complex brief and tight deadline. The team where tasked with developing a new brand that would stand out from the crowd but had to be aligned with our wider corporate brand identify. Neil and the team worked tirelessly to meet our launch deadline in advance of the opening of the Digital Innovation Facility. The team understood the brief and pitched a selection of great brand ideas. The team were open and quick to iterate brand designs and messaging and needed little direction moving forward. Bringing together a multitude of departments, expertise, capabilities and technologies, the DIF provides a wholesome and innovative experience, and we believe the branding and website conveys this.
